Milestone Meetings.

These are mandatory, once-a-year meetings for each graduate cohort with the Director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Jennifer Palmer. The goal is to make sure everyone is on track, informed, and equipped for what’s ahead in your specific year of the program.

Milestone Meetings Schedule:

  • First Years: August 11, Grad Student Orientation. No further meetings necessary!
  • Second Years (both MA and PhD): August 26, 12:45
  • Third Years/Fourth Years who are Pre-Comps: September 2, 12:45
  • Doctoral Candidates/Post-Comps: September 9, 12:45

What to Expect
Each meeting will include:

  • An overview of your program year’s major milestones (exams, reviews, proposals, etc.)
  • Key forms, deadlines, and administrative requirements
  • Time for questions, clarifications, and general guidance

In other words: everything you need to know to stay on course—delivered in one efficient, cohort-specific session.

Attendance Details

  • If you can't attend in person, a Zoom option will be available.
